News from your favorite social media sites. Week of 3-11-13.

Red tiles spelling newsAs you know, social media sites are forever changing the rules of the game. Fortunately, there are some awesome resources out there that can help you keep on top of it all. One of my favorite is Social Media Examiner. Here’s what they’ve rounded up for the week of March 13, 2013:

  • Facebook is announcing changes to the way its newsfeed looks. You’ll see more consistency between your laptop and mobile devices and, FB promises, less clutter overall.
  • Google+ is rolling out bigger cover photos (which not everyone likes apparently–but then change is always hard), and a tab for local reviews.
  • LinkedIn has launched a micro site with tips for managing company pages.
  • YouTube should now look better across all browsers, thanks to its YouTube One channel.
  • Twitter is updating many of its mobile apps to make finding content easier and faster when you’re on the go.
  • WordPress is launching a new $299/year business account featuring live support, unlimited premium themes and storage, and more.

You’ll find links to more info on all these updates from your favorite social media sites in this great update by Cindy King, plus a cool infographic showing the top LinkedIn endorsements to date. Did you know that 671 thousand people have been endorsed for Renewable Energy? And 3.7 million have been endorsed for Mediation?  Is one of your strengths listed?
